Detail Shots

I think image compression took away a lot of the colors, it's very faded compared to my walkthrough/detail shots, I don't know what to do about it.

July: Where I live, July is the hottest month (in general), and I wanted the sun and sand to portray a dry desert. Title "Illusionary" because the desert often shows us mirages of water (hence the water/feathers).

This character is Joeri (handlebar crown, remember?) shown in Prelude, I dressed her up in a jester-like outfit because it seems to fit in with the mirage, a joke the desert taunts us with.

No references with the anatomy, I did study sand dunes and such but most undoubtedly failed...please critique!

Time: Around 12 hours
Process:
-Sketch on printer paper
-Digital ink + painted with Photoshop Elements 4.0 w/tablet.
