Report a Policy Violation
For those who have many watchers, and for those who don’t have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.

All Digital Paintings, Drawings, Pixel Art, 3-Dimensional, Vectors, and Vexel images category. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The actual entry for Kick My Own @ss `MonicaWeasley is so sweet, she's letting everyone who submitted on June 28, regardless of timezone differences, in the contest.   OLD VERSION- 2007 NEW VERSION- 2009 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anyways, onto the comparison: Because my original deviation was made in approximately 6 hours with simple programs such as GIMP, Photoshop Elements and Painter Essentials, I decided to place similar constraints on myself for the new one. I started the entry at 6:00 PM on June 28 to ensure that I would HAVE to finish it by 11:59 PM. I also only allowed myself to use Photoshop CS3 Extended's default Airbrush Opacity brush, with 100% Opacity and 100% flow-- I only let myself change the size of the brush. The theme of the picture is similar too. My original was following my Twelve Months series and dealt with March, or the transition from winter to spring. My new picture hopefully shows that theme as well. I chose Awakened as the picture I redo because 1) I feel it was my worst picture of all time and 2) I don't draw many males. This exercise was very fun and I enjoyed working on this entry moreso than most of my other contest entries. Thanks for reading! |

Yes that definitely makes a lot of sense. It was really fun painting with a time constraint just because I was forced to pick places to detail. <3

I really appreciate that. Haha I really enjoy more realistic pictures but that doesn't mean I've stopped the really manga-y style completely.
