This is the traditional I mentioned, sorry for it being late. I spent a long time trying to get it to look like the original, and while it's still lacking (the scanner ruined a lot of the shading), I'm pretty pleased.
I actually have a name for this character, Joeri (pronounced Your-ee), it seems to be a Dutch name for a boy, but I like it.
She'll appear in July looking completely different, but just look for the handle-bar crown she wears.
The anatomy isn't great since I couldn't reference it, and I realize her hair makes her head look big, but overall it's alright.
Titled "Prelude" because she will appear in my future works, so this is the "beginning".
Time: About 6 hours Tools: --Strathmore Drawing Paper, 9" x 12" --Kimberly Graphite pencils pack (ranging from 4H to 8B) I only used 4H, HB, B, and 2B --A variety of mechanical pencils for small details and Sanford Design Pencils --Photoshop for edits and sparkles*
*Sparkles added in Photoshop because I don't have white paint (and I don't want to ruin the original either).

WOW! This came out AMAZING! All the little details just make it so much more beautiful, definitely deserves a fav. The pose is great, and the expression fits well. The wing thingies on her arms look fabulous--amazing job!

Wow... you used a huge pencil range XD
The detail is quite amazing... I especially love how the wings came out. The way you did the shiny gems and stuff is great. It just looks wonderful. I don't really think the hair makes her head look big... it just looks like she has a lot of hair The anatomy is great for no reference, but her feet do seem a bit large. I really love how you didn't just make a bunch of light spots and a bunch of dark, but really used all the different pencils and incorporated all the shades into it. This is really nice. I shall fave it.

I actually only used 4H to 3B (skipping in between), the pencils came in a pack with the huge range. I should edit that in the description.
Thank you, your comments are always so well thought out. I'm glad you liked the wings and gems, I spent a majority of my time on them. And thanks, I guess she does have a lot of hair.
Mmm, now that you mention it, her feet might be on the large side (the back foot), thanks for the critique!
Sketching/shading is always my favorite and a strong point, so I'm glad my years of shading practices paid off (even though the scanner didn't capture it correctly). Thank you!

MOVED. KTHXBAI.
Awesome icon made by ~happie ♥
The shading is very light because my scanner isn't very good, but at least it's presentable.
